Provenance Story

Dan Cloutier took over the starting netminder duties for the Tampa Bay Lightning during the 1999-00 season after being acquired in a major draft-day trade. The intense, fiery goaltender battled through several injuries to lead the squad with 9 wins and a 3.49 goals-against average across 52 appearances in his first full year as an NHL starter. Cloutier's trademark birdcage mask and competitive spirit anchored the Bolts' crease during a transitional era, building the foundation for a decade-long NHL journey that included 139 career wins and 15 shutouts over 351 games.
